Looking for Camden homes for sale? Got a spare £2million to spend? Amy Winehouse’s dad, Mitch, has reportedly decided to put her £2million Camden home up for sale. The singer died on July 23 last year and how her home is apparently on the market for a cool £2.7million. According to The Sun, dad Mitch bought her Camden home back in April 2010 for £1.8million.
A spokesperson for Mitch Winehouse told MailOnline: The Winehouses have decided to put the house on the market, with great regret. Amy loved that house but none of the family felt it appropriate that they should live in it. It was not practical to keep it empty while paying for its upkeep. It is a wonderful place and will be a happy family home for someone.”
Amy’s Camden home is indeed a lovely, plush pad. Her large, three double bedroom, three reception room semi-detached period villa has over 2,500 square feet and has recently been renovated to an impressive standard.
There are plenty of features to attract a buyer. The Camden home has three big bedrooms with great views over communal gardens. Not to mention polished, solid dark wood floors, huge windows, high-end integrated kitchen appliances and huge windows which let in plenty of light.
It’s been sensitively updated, with considerable structural and cosmetic improvements. Original period features have been preserved, including beams and fireplaces. Modern upgrades include new electrical and heating systems, integrated sound system, CCTV and a magnetically secured front gate.
There are gardens to the front and rear of the Camden property, which lies opposite Camden Gardens, where a rose garden will be planted in her memory.
