Bordered by East Dulwich, Peckham and Herne Hill, it’s home to the well-respected Camberwell College of Arts, along with numerous galleries, old school boozers, gastro pubs, terribly trendy bars, jazz clubs, Greek restaurants and inviting delis, along with High Street chain stores and takeaways. It’s easy to see why this area appeals to the arty crowd. It’s got just the right amount of grit and attitude, combined with creature comforts, lovely Victorian houses and green spaces.
Properties for sale in Camberwell tend to be cheaper than those in other arty, trendy areas like Shoreditch.

Go to Denmark Hill for rail services. The extension of the East London Line to Denmark Hill is highly likely to make Camberwell a ‘one to watch’ for investors.
