Here, we take a look at homes for sale in Elephant & Castle, identify the area’s amenities and take a look at transport links.
What’s so Great About Elephant & Castle?
Located in south east London, Elephant & Castle is an area which is in the throes of regeneration. However, it’s resisted being taken over completely and still retains a distinctive edge. Yes, there are deprived areas here but Bayswater and Paddington have those as well and both are still regarded as desirable places to live. Look past the ugly roundabout and precinct and as the Guardian so rightly points out, you’ll find a high street relatively free from identikit chain stores and coffee shops. If you want individuality, you’ll get it here.
Add good schools, great Colombian cafes and a buzzing dance centre into the mix and you’ve got a pretty attractive area.
Properties for sale in Elephant & Castle suit those in search of an area of central London with relatively reasonable house prices and an area with residents prepared to say hello on the street and help each other out.
