What’s so great about Mill Hill?
So, why should you check out properties for sale in Mill Hill? Located in the London Borough of
Barnet, this area has a real old London look and feel. There are three very distinctive parts to it. We
love Mill Hill as it’s an area with a proper old school heart and centre - otherwise known as Mill Hill
Village. In later years, Mill Hill Broadway was added, along with Mill Hill East.
Properties for sale in Mill Hill appeal largely to creatives, professionals and families. The latter in
particular like the area because of its excellent state schools, which include The Goodwyn School, St
Martin’s, Mill School Foundation and The Mount School.
Properties for sale in Mill Hill are generally regarded as giving owners good value for money.
According to Knight Frank, house prices tend not to fluctuate in declining markets. It’s partly thanks
to the area’s popularity, it’s excellent amenities, restaurants, shops and schools. Speaking of which,
the behemoth that is Brent Cross Shopping Centre is near enough to be convenient but not so near
that it encroaches on the character of the area.
You’ve also got supermarkets (think Waitrose), a gym and

The area is synonymous with Edwardian homes and period conversions. You won’t find much in the
way of loft living or million pound penthouses here, although there are of course some high-spec
new build flats, which start at £240,000. Properties for sale in Mill Hill are ideal for lovers of charm
and character.
Prices start at around £190,000, which will get you a one bedroom flat within a converted property.
Modernised two bedroom flats tend to be priced at £245,000. For that, you’ll get a spacious two bed
on the Edgware and Mill Hill borders.
It’s possible to pick up a three bedroom 1930s-style semi for around £350,000. In Mill Hill Village,
Grade II listed cottages fetch at least £400,000.
At the top end of the spectrum, there are some amazing four and five bedroom homes within the
Mill Hill conservation area for a cool £2million.
Transport Links
Properties for sale in Mill Hill are good for those who want to live on the Northern Line within Zone
4. The area is served by several tube stations on the Northern Line, including: Mill Hill East, Burnt
Oak, Edgware and Colindale. You’ve also got Canons Park, which is on the Jubilee Line in Zone 5.
Mill Hill Broadway Thames link rail station is situated at the end of The Broadway. Journey time to
central London is 25 minutes.
Drivers can connect to the A1.
